san francisco, part one.

Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetFinally! I finished editing all of my most recent San Francisco pictures! I’ve decided to do a series of posts… probably about four. Otherwise it would be much too picture heavy. There will still be a lot of photos though!! Be warned.

You can think of this as part unofficial, (totally) incomplete city guide and part personal journal entry. I spent two days in the city with my aunt several weeks ago, and this is what we did. Maybe if you’re headed this way, you’ll find something among the next few posts that you’d like to do too! Processed with VSCOcam with g1 presetAs I mentioned before, we spent the morning in Emeryville/Berkeley, just across the Bay Bridge. After lunch we headed into the city. IMG_74731First stop? Ice cream, of course :) Only on a spontaneous auntie/niece trip would I eat ice cream 30 minutes after lunch. (Not that I don’t want to all the other times!) Bi-Rite is terrific. On this particular visit, there were only a few people in line ahead of us, and it went fast. Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetSo many creative flavors to choose from, but I couldn’t help myself. Chocolate and roasted banana. I still have dreams about that banana… Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetIt was an extraordinarily beautiful day, as evidenced by that brilliant blue sky. Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetWe made our way downtown to check in at the hotel. Staying at the Westin St. Francis was… amazing, to say the least. I felt super spoiled for a night! It really is a grand hotel. Some pretty famous people have stayed there over the years, too! Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetOh, and the beds, as everyone says, are truly delightful.Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetI originally wanted a room with a view of the bay, but rooms facing Union Square were the only ones available. I ended up really enjoying being able to people watch from above :) IMG_74941Still having some time to kill before dinner, we set off on a walk. Simply walking throughout the city is one of my all-time favorite activities. You can experience so much more on foot. Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with b2 presetThe Transamerica Pyramid is a little under one mile away from the Westin. We eventually ended up there before turning back. Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetWell, that’s part one! I’m excited about part two… you’ll see why soon.

xo,
Maci
