behind the blog.

On Saturday, I did quite a bit of blog scouring. I was mostly reading a bunch of posts about blogging, just seeking some fresh perspective, motivation, and inspiration.

One idea that stuck out (from this blog) was to give you guys a peek behind this blog. I hope this is as fun for you to read as it was for me to write!

favorite post to write
This everyday post was fun. This one was fun too!

I also really enjoyed putting together (and living!) all of the Berkeley posts last year.

most frustrating photo shoot
Most of my blog posts are composed with or around photos that I totally loved taking. But I guess the closest it ever got to frustrating was this post.

post i’m most proud of
Currently, the 2015 calendar post. Also this DIY. I’d like to do more of both types of posts this year!

popular post i didn’t think would be a big deal
Some scenes from Cal. It appears to have been shared on some German website… must have been the Birkenstocks :)

post i was expecting to take off that didn’t
The 2015 calendar. Last year’s calendar was my most popular post of all time, but I like this year’s calendar 20x better. I was kind of sad that it hasn’t done as well as I’d hoped, but oh well.

the closest to pinterest-famous i’ve ever gotten
My “guide” (if you can call it that!) to Austin, TX. If I had known it was going to spread across Pinterest like that, I certainly would not have used a photo of the mural wall with me in it! #biggestregret

quickest post i’ve ever written
This one, this one, and this one.

most successful link-up post
I participated in Stephanie Court’s Twosday link-up as often as I could last year, and this was the most popular post from that.

weirdest search term to find my blog
“Maci taylor gagel.” I have no clue.
