favorite beauty products from trader joe’s

favorite trader joe's beauty productsI make no secret of my love for Trader Joe’s. They sell great products at great prices. They have fantastic customer service and I’ve never encountered an employee that was not genuinely friendly and helpful. I had to return a spoiled product once, and oh my goodness, they made it the best experience ever. I wanted to send them a love letter or a love tweet, it was that wonderful.

I’ve also been known to go to Trader Joe’s four times in one week, because I love it that much. (My mom called it poor planning, but maybe I just like shopping European-style). #happyplace

favorite trader joe's beauty productsAbout half of the personal care products I use on a daily basis are from Trader Joe’s. Besides the four things listed below, I also love their coconut body butter, and I’ve used all of their shampoos and conditioners at one point or another. Oh, and they carry good sunscreen too.

So here they are… my favorite beauty products from Trader Joe’s:

favorite trader joe's beauty productsface wash with tea tree oil / $5.99

I’ve used many face washes in my time, and this one is my favorite. I use it twice a day, every day. It’s a liquid wash that lathers up and cleanses really well without drying the skin out. The tea tree oil is effective but not harsh. Also worth mentioning is that a bottle of this stuff lasts forever… at least 5 months.

favorite trader joe's beauty productsantioxidant facial serum / $9.99

I use this serum as a primer before I apply makeup. The teensiest dot covers my entire face, so one bottle lasts for quite a while. It evens out skin tone, minimizes pores, and helps makeup go on smoothly. It smells faintly of oranges, which is super welcome in the morning. Though it may seem a bit pricey at $10 per ounce, I use BareMinerals makeup and their primer is 2.5 times more expensive. This is a steal. Plus… oranges.

favorite trader joe's beauty productsmoisturizing face lotion / $3.99

Oh, this face lotion. I don’t know what I will do if they ever stop carrying it. I’ve been using it for years now and it is my absolute favorite. It’s hydrating without being heavy, and I love that it has an SPF. I have sensitive skin and have to be so careful about the products I leave on my face all day. This lotion has never given me any trouble. We’re practically best friends.

favorite trader joe's beauty productsantiplaque toothpaste / $2.29

I’m a recent convert to natural toothpaste, and of course I tried this product from TJ’s first. It took me about two days to fully get used to it, but now I will never ever be able to go back to using the other stuff. As a note, I have also tried TOM’s natural toothpaste from Target, but I much prefer this one.

  1. “shopping European-style” haha!! so true though.

i never really thought about trader joes selling beauty products, probably because we don’t go there very often. :) but i’m really interested in that facial wash! i get mine from the village health food store in mchenry village. it works well for me but its super expensive. i like this price at trader joes a lot better….if it works and its inexpensive, i say its worth a try! thanks, maci!

    • i’m glad you got a kick out of that, sarah! ;) haha!!

also, i’m always happy to introduce people to items i love at ti’s, and even more so if they come to love them as much as i do! at the store in modesto, the beauty/home products are located on the aisle closest to the registers; on the same aisle as the vitamins and clif bars :) let me know if you try the face wash!
