I did everything this weekend. Farmers market, library, a friends yard sale, tacos, Costco, family dinner with dear friends (we laughed harder than any of us had laughed in a long time), church, lunch with friends, and church again. It was full and wonderful, and I’m simultaneously feeling full of energy and sleep deprived. The next several weeks will be grand.
Also, I know that historically I’ve not been the greatest about blogging while I’m home, but I’m committed to it this time. This venue is wonderful for documentation and I’d like to make sure I have posts to go back and read when I want to remember. I hope you find it maybe even just slightly interesting. And if you don’t, well, that’s fine too! :)

These 7 shots are from what was definitely the shortest photo adventure Meegan and I have ever gone on. We parked in two different locations downtown on our way home from Starbucks and had like 30 minutes tops to spend taking photos. Continue reading →
01 / It rained a bit, but I loved it because it felt like winter at home (read: rain, 55 degrees) and I got to wear my TOMS.
02 / On Saturday I played guitar outside and it was grand.
03 / Meegan and I squeezed in a photo adventure without even trying! More photos soon.

Yesterday I convinced my brother to go play tennis with me because it was such a beautiful day and I’ve been dying for a chance to play. The public court we use gets full sun, and I found myself admiring the dramatic shadows as we played. So when we finished up I grabbed my iPhone and took a few snapshots. Continue reading →

lame photo (heads, anyone?) but amazing experience. all sons & daughters at the regency ballroom in the city.
no matter how late the night before, i still really love mornings.
i had the best time walking around campus taking photos with my friend natasha, a fellow blogger and birkenstock-wearer.
later, berkeley. i miss you already.
i’m basically having a dreamy morning, driving around town in my aunt’s subaru, grocery shopping, listening to dave brubeck, and drinking this delicious drink.
post office shadows.
a direct quote from weather.com provides the reason why i am wearing socks and birkenstocks today: “a potent blast of arctic air is plunging into the nation’s mid-section….” this sort of thing would of course happen when i’ve barely been back here for two days :/
my fingers are numb, my camera lens is frosted over, and the caramel is frozen on the plate. these are the days when i seriously consider permanently deleting my wordpress account and/or moving to santa barbara.
i do this a lot- occupy coffee shops and try to write. about muffins, currently.
a thanksgiving favorite at my house.
