January 2015 happened. I’m not feeling wordy, so I’ll let the snapshots speak.

three from the weekend

threefromtheweekend08Of all the weekends I’ve experienced this year, it’s entirely possible that this most recent one was the best. In any case, it was certainly the warmest and the sunniest (well at least Saturday was warm and sunny). Warm weather + sunshine is a combination I can never resist, so Meegan and I met up for a photo adventure on Saturday. That post will be coming up this week! :)

01 / I always have too many tabs open. At least three different things were happening in that photo.
02 / Photo adventure! Exploring on foot! A wonderful friend! My favorite things :)
03 / Sunday was the opposite of Saturday weather-wise, which called for baking.

a rare january monday

IMG_0306Today it was sunny and 65 degrees. I’m told that weather like this is a rarity in this part of the country at this time of year, and I believe it. So because of that, and because tomorrow’s forecast is fully 10 degrees cooler, I seized the day. Continue reading

favorite moments | 2014

Gosh, 2014 was a crazy year. I had a super wordy post typed out in which I reflected on the past year, but ultimately decided not to post it. Though I personally benefited from the exercise of going through my year and putting some of its major events into words, it was more than I like to share here.

So instead, I’m going to highlight my favorite moments of 2014, just like I did last year. Because even though 2014 was tough, it still had more beautiful moments than I can count. God is so good and gracious and faithful. I hope you know that.

three from the weekend 05

01 / Running errands. (#fromwhereidrive… it’s a new thing.)
02 / Making scones.
03 / I was inspired by this post to create little NYE menu cards, and I’m so pleased with how they turned out! On the reverse side, I printed 10 questions from this list so we can go around the table and remember some of 2014’s finer moments :)

three from the weekend

threefromtheweekend04Let the countdown begin! Three days until Christmas, everyone! I’m listening to Christmas music next to the Christmas tree as I type this post, and it makes me so happy :)

Besides wrapping a couple of presents over the weekend, here’s some other stuff that happened…

+ + + + + + + + + +

01 / Kicked off the weekend at a house concert.
02 / Small-batch Saturday returned with cinnamon ice cream.
03 / Winter arrived. I instagrammed a photo of wood.

berkeley snapshots no. 05

durant ave., berkeleyThe final day in Berkeley arrived. I walked with Micah to her first class before revisiting some of my favorite campus spots and soaking up the moments. Then I walked home from Telegraph-ish up Durant instead of Bancroft.

My aunt came. We stuffed my suitcase and bicycle in the back of her Subaru again and headed for- where else?- pizza at Cheese Board, and then ice cream at Tara’s.

It was a happy/sad feeling once we got on 580 and started heading east. On one hand, I was going home, and in time for Thursday night college group at that. On the other hand though, I’m always sorry to leave the bay. I could stay forever. Continue reading
